U-16 WNT Down Germany 3-1 For First Victory of 2005

CARSON, Calif. (March 3, 2005) - First half strikes from Brooke Knowlton and Casey Noguirea were all the U.S. Under-16 Girls National Team ended up needing as they defeated the German U-17 Women’s National Team 3-1 in their rematch this afternoon at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.

The U-16s had fallen to Germany 1-0 a couple days earlier, but this time were able to jump out to a 2-0 lead at the half.

In the second half, Knowlton assisted on a goal by Jessie Bradley to secure the victory.
