U.S. U-17 WNT Rebounds to Defeat Argentina U-20 WNT, 2-0  
BUENOS AIRES (Dec. 13, 2007) - After falling to the Argentina U-17 Women’s National Team on Dec. 11, the U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team rebounded with a 2-0 win over the Argentina Under-20 Women’s National Team on Dec. 13 in Buenos Aires. The match was deadlocked until the 69th minute when midfielder Lauren Alwine broke through with a goal off an assist from Tiffany McCarty. The U.S. team clinched the game with one minute left as substitute forward Merritt Mathias scored the USA’s second goal off an assist from Shawna Gordon. The U.S. team has one match left on the tour, that on Dec. 15 against the Uruguay U-17s, also in Buenos Aires. The Americans out-shot Argentina, 11-8.
