CHICAGO (March 10, 2008) - Now that it's 'officially' official that Landon Donovan is the U.S. Men's National Team's all-time leading goalscorer, ussoccer.com is glad to roll out this interactive feature recapping the history of LD's goalscoring account (click the image below). You'll find replays and goal descriptions of each of his 35 strikes, as well as game information, links to match reports, and photos of each now-historic match. Basically, lots of goodies.

Why are we rolling this out now you may ask? Well, for those of you not up on the background, here you go: The 25-year-old notched the record-breaker in the 3-0 win against Sweden on Jan. 19 at The Home Depot Center…BUT there was a slight discrepancy that needed to be cleared up first.

Back on Jan. 20, 2007, Landon scored a goal in a 3-1 victory against Denmark and there was a question regarding the official status of the match. Well, after some discussion, FIFA finally sent notice confirming the match as an 'A' international, certifying Landon's achievement and allowing us to proceed with this presentation.

Truth is we never questioned Landon had the record; never wavered that FIFA would rule the Denmark match was an official “A” match. Then again, we also didn’t want to put up this interactive feature up…and then two days later get word from FIFA it wasn’t an “A” match…which we never thought would happen…follow? Good.

Along with the interactive feature check out the “By the Numbers” on Landon’s record listed below.
