CHICAGO (Friday, April 9, 2004) – The U.S. Soccer Coaching Education Department will be conducting a Coaching Symposium in Birmingham, Ala. on Friday, April 23 – one day prior to the U.S. Women’s National Team game versus Brazil on April 24. Registration form Both the U.S. and Brazil will be participating in the 2004 Olympics in Greece. The symposium will focus on the U.S. WNT preparation for the 2004 Olympics, current trends in the women’s game and player development. Directed by U.S. Women’s National Staff Coach Dave Simeone, the symposium schedule will also include attending a U.S. Women’s training session. The Coaching Symposium is offered for the broad base of youth, high school and college soccer coaches. Coaches who hold an “A” license will earn two Continuing Education Credits (CEU’s) toward keeping their license current.
