U-14 National Development Program
Under-14 Boy's National Team Split Pair of Friendlies  

CARSON, Calif. (May 5, 2008) -- The U.S. Under-14 Boy's National Team split a pair of matches against local Under-16 club teams during their eight-day training session at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.

Head coach Manny Schellscheidt split his 38-player squad in two, with one team taking on West United and coming away with a 2-0 victory behind goals from Eric Gonzalez and Atsouh Ayah. In the second match of the night, the U-14s took on Valley United and fell, 2-0.

The team will continue to scrimmage teams in Southern California, taking on FC Barcelona and Arsenal SC on May 7. Rounding out their schedule of friendlies on May 9, the U-14s will take on Cal South ODP squads.
