U.S. Finishes Third in Gold Cup on Convey Game-Winner
Second half goals by Bobby Convey and Earnie Stewart erased a 2-1 deficit and gave the United States a 3-2 victory against Costa Rica and third place in the 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup in the Orange Bowl on Saturday night. The United States still has a chance to earn the regional championship. In the Gold Cup final, Mexico topped Brazil 1-0 in overtime to clinch the region championship.
