Development Academy
Heading into the last weekend of the inaugural Development Academy season, no U-16 team has clinched a berth, while two U-18 teams have punched their ticket to the Finals Week at The Home Depot Center from July 12-19. The rest will be settled here at the Development Academy Showcase in Greensboro, N.C. A total of 14 spots are up for grabs, with the winner of each conference championship advancing to the finals, which will be broadcast on ESPN networks. The draw for the finals (based on conferences) will be announced today at noon.

Ricardo Salazar, who works as a full-time U.S. Soccer referee and officiates every week in Major League Soccer, passes down his knowledge to a new generation of referees at the Development Academy at the Summer Showcase.

As the on-the-field action continues during the Development Academy Summer Showcase, the 126 teams on hand in Greensboro, N.C., are also receiving an exclusive breakdown of their performances from ProZone, the world’s leading post-match analysis system.
