Off the Ball w/ Carlos Bocanegra - Final Chapter

The U.S. Men’s National Team played Cameroon to a 0-0 draw today in Lyon, France, in its final match of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2003. The U.S. finishes group play in fourth place, while Cameroon wins the group and will face Columbia this Thursday (June 26). Chris Armas earned his 50th cap and wore the captains armband. Kyle Martino became the 19th different U.S. player on the 23-man roster to start a game and played well before leaving with a strained left ankle in the second half. While the U.S. game was going on, Brazil and Turkey played to a 2-2 draw so that Turkey advances out of Group B on a goals-for tiebreaker. Read what Bruce Arena, Tim Howard and others had to say after the match.
