NEW YORK (March 31, 2018) - Philadelphia Union's Cormac Dooley and LA Galaxy's Giuseppe Guastella will represent the United States in the first ever FIFA eNations Cup taking place in London from April 13-14. Twenty of the top eNational Teams will compete in the invite-only exhibition on the Road to the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019.
Dooley, better known by his gamertag Doolsta, lifted the 2019 eMLS Cup trophy on Saturday. With the victory, Dooley earns $15,000 and 850 EA SPORTS FIFA19TM Global Series Points. Dooley defeated Guastella (GGGodfather) in the eMLS Cup Final by a combined 2-1 aggregate score over the course of the two-legged championship series.
The 18-year-old high school senior remained perfect with his victory on Saturday night in front of a packed crowd at The Castle at Park Plaza in Boston, MA., winning all three eMLS competitions in 2019 including League Series One and Two in LA and Dallas respectively.
The preliminary rounds for eMLS Cup took place on Friday, March 29 and Saturday morning, with all competitors vying for a spot in the playoffs on Saturday afternoon. Entering Saturday's Conference Semifinals and featured livestream, eight competitors remained. The Western Conference Final showcased Guastella (GGGodfather) and FC Dallas's Alan Avila (AlanAvi), while the Eastern Conference Final Dooley (Doolsta) matchup against NYCFC's Chris Holly (NYC_Chris).
The EA SPORTS FIFA 19TM Global Series Playoffs this June will welcome the top 60 players on the PlayStation 4 and the top 60 players on the Xbox One leaderboards. This will be the players' last chance to earn EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series Points to grant them qualification to the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019, where the winner will be crowned the undisputed FIFA 19 World Champion.
