Deadline for Candidates Interested in Running for U.S. Soccer Vice President is Dec. 17, 2019

The process to elect a new U.S. Soccer Vice-President will culminate at the National Council Meeting during U.S. Soccer’s Annual General Meeting on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, in Nashville, Tennessee.

The 2020 U.S. Soccer Vice-Presidential election will take place at the National Council Meeting during U.S. Soccer’s Annual General Meeting on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2020, in Nashville, Tennessee. The election winner will assume a full, four-year term as U.S. Soccer Vice-President.

The nomination process is detailed in Policy 401-1. Interested candidates must submit three letters of support on official letterhead from a U.S. Soccer Organization Member (as defined in Bylaw 302) and/or one of three Athlete Representatives on the Board of Directors (as listed here), submit to a background check and complete a conflict of interest disclosure. The deadline for candidates to submit conflicts disclosures and letters of support is Dec. 17, 2019. The Policy also requires supplementation of conflicts disclosures as the election nears.
