Alec is a superfan of both the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Soccer Teams, as is his family. He has played soccer since he was three years old. He loves to be part of a team and he loves his teammates and his coaches. He enjoys the camaraderie and the spirit of the game and is encouraging to everyone, including the opposing team.
Alec has Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and asthma. He has also overcome many other medical challenges early in his life including External hydrocephalus (EH), speech and developmental delays, and chronic ear infections. He is always a playful and happy kid who likes to share his joy with others.
Alec says, "Chronic illnesses are hard because I have to go to a lot of doctor's appointments and surgeries, and I have been afraid to push myself physically in sports. It has also been difficult to find friends who have similar challenges."
Alec loves to listen to music, dance, and to joke around with everyone. He has a very kind and caring spirit.
Alec would like to honor his grandfather, Colonel Charles Hamilton, and his uncle, Captain Scott Hamilton, of the United States Air Force.
