The Coaching HER® mission is not only to create safe, inclusive spaces for girls, but also to provide a platform that equips coaches with everything they need to support girls—from fostering positive culture and body confidence to addressing menstrual health and developing the next generation of women coaches—while giving organizations the tools to drive lasting, systemic change.
You can access the brilliant free Coaching HER® platform via the Soccer Forward Resource Hub. Coaching HER® was developed by the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport at the University of Minnesota, a global leader in advancing gender equity in sport and in partnership with Nike.
'My score is the number of girls who stay in sport feeling they belong. I count the moments a coach chooses language that builds confidence, sets high expectations with care, and makes room for girls’ real experiences body, mind, and identity included. When more girls feel seen and supported, participation rises, leaders emerge, and the impact lasts long past the final whistle.'
- Alicia Pelton, Coaching Her, Program Director, The Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport
The Resource Hub is created by the soccer community, for the soccer community. If you have tools, models, or lessons to share, we’d love to include them in the Resource Hub to help others. Tell us about your resources here.
