CHICAGO (Nov. 18, 2018) – U.S. Men’s National Team midfielders Weston McKennie and Luca de la Torre have departed training camp ahead of the MNT’s Kickoff Series finale friendly against Italy on Tuesday.

McKennie has been diagnosed with an injury to his left hamstring tendon and has returned to Schalke to begin rehabilitation. The 20-year-old midfielder made six appearances for the MNT in 2018.

Following the England match, de la Torre remained in London to resume training with Fulham. The midfielder made his MNT debut during June’s 2-1 defeat to Ireland in Dublin.

Neither player will be replaced on the roster, which now stands at 24 players.

The USA concludes its 2018 schedule against four-time World Cup champions Italy on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at Luminus Arena in Genk, Belgium (2:45 p.m. ET; FS1, UniMas).

Fans can follow both matches on U.S. Soccer's official Facebook, Twitter (@ussoccer_MNT) and Instagram (@ussoccer_MNT) accounts.
