Nomination Process for 2020 U.S. Soccer Vice-Presidential Election Closed
Election Will Take Place Saturday, Feb. 15 at U.S. Soccer AGM in Nashville, Tenn.; Cindy Cone and John Motta to Run as Candidates for Office of U.S. Soccer VP
CHICAGO (Jan. 7, 2020) – The candidate field is set for the 2020 U.S. Soccer Vice-Presidential election that will take place at the National Council Meeting during U.S. Soccer’s Annual General Meeting on Saturday, Feb. 15, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Sitting Vice President Cindy Cone and U.S. Soccer Board of Directors Adult Council Representative John Motta are the two candidates to have completed the nomination process.
The next Vice-Presidential election will elect a candidate to a full, four-year term.
The nomination process (detailed in Policy 401-1) kicked off in September, 2019 and the deadline for potential candidates to submit the requirements was Tuesday, Dec. 17.
