Having returned from his season long loan away to Fortuna Dusseldorf – and to full health – U.S. Men’s National Team goalkeeper Zack Steffen will make his Manchester City debut on Wednesday as the Premier League side hosts EFL Championship club Bournemouth in the third round of the 2020-21 Carabao Cup (2:45pm ET on ESPN+).

Currently the understudy to Brazilian National Team goalkeeper Ederson, Steffen will look to make his case to Pep Guardiola through the Carabao Cup and later FA Cup matches this season.

With the start, the 25-year-old goalkeeper becomes the third USMNT player to earn an appearance for City, following four-time U.S. World Cup veterans Claudio Reyna (2003-07) and DaMarcus Beasley (2006-07).
