The two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup Champion signed with Tottenham in September as she continued to work her way back to fitness following the birth of her daughter last May. A minor injury setback delayed her much-anticipated Spurs debut, but her appearance on Saturday marked her first action for club or country since August 21, 2019, in the Orlando Pride’s 2-1 win over the Chicago Red Stars. She has not appeared for the USWNT since the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup Final.
With the draw, Tottenham snapped its four-match losing streak. Spurs return to action Saturday, Nov. 14 when they take on Bristol City.
