The Volkswagen Honoree Spotlight program is a collaboration between U.S. Soccer and VW to highlight children with a passion for the game. Today's VW Honoree is Grace R., who is six years old from Houston, Texas. Grace was nominated by the local VW Houston Dealer for her excellent sportsmanship and her true love of the game. She is also always willing to learn a new skill and practice on her own to help develop her skills.

Who is your favorite U.S. Soccer player?
Alex Morgan, because I like watching her score lots of goals & she has great footwork!
Why do you love soccer?
I love playing with my teammates and figuring out what to do next to help us win.
What is the most important lesson you have learned from playing sports?
You won’t win a game unless you work as a team.
Who inspires you the most and why?
My Aunt Kelly because she worked really hard in school and now she gets to play sports in college.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
A veterinarian.
What are you most excited to do this summer?
Visit my family at the beach in North Carolina.
What or who are you thankful for?
I am thankful for my family and my pets.
