When U.S. Men's National Team head coach Gregg Berhalter makes his final roster decisions for this month's FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, he will know that Weston McKennie is in goal-scoring form.

The 23-year-old Juventus midfielder struck for his first two goals of the Italy Serie A season last week, though the Bianconeri fell in both contests.

McKennie lifted his team into a 1-1 deadlock with Sassuolo in the 76th minute on Wednesday, heading home Paulo Dybala's free kick from seven yards out on the right side of the penalty area. Sassuolo scored five minutes into stoppage time to secure a 2-1 win.

As a second-half substitute on Sunday, an unmarked McKennie powered an 80th minute rocket from the top of the box into the upper left corner, helping Juve grab one back in what ended up being another 2-1 defeat.

BACK-TO-BACK

Daryl Dike also found the net in consecutive matches for Orlando City SC. In fact, the 21-year-old forward has scored in three successive games and six times in his last eight contests.

On Wednesday night, the forward converted a penalty kick in the Lions' 3-2 loss at Columbus Crew SC. Dike's first PK attempt was denied by goalkeeper Eloy Room, but he got another opportunity because the referee ruled the keeper had moved. On his second try, Dike powered it home for a 2-1 lead in the 52nd minute.

Dike connected for his ninth goal of the MLS season in a 1-1 home draw against Nashville SC on Sunday. Nani threaded a ball down the right side for Chris Mueller, who cut it back across the face of goal. The ball took a deflection before it came to Dike, who slotted it past goalkeeper Joe Willis for the opening goal of the match in the 18th minute.

GOALS GALORE

Center back Walker Zimmerman grabbed a goal in helping Nashville SC in a wild, 6-3 win against FC Cincinnati that helped the second-year MLS club clinch a postseason berth.

After the hosts grabbed an early 2-0 lead, Zimmerman and his teammates went into action, heading home Hany Mukhtar's free kick to reduce the margin to 2-1 in the 28th minute. On another Mukhtar free kick in the 71st minute, Zimmerman nodded the ball down to CJ Sapong, who scored to make it 4-3, a lead Nashville never surrendered.

The USMNT center back has been a key piece in the Nashville backline. When he has been in the lineup, the team boasts a 0.70 goals-against average and has lost only three times in 22 games en route to an 8-3-11 record.

Paul Arriola got back on the scoresheet for D.C. United on Saturday. In just the third minute, Felipe Martins sprung a ball for Arriola over the Columbus Crew back line before the USMNT winger took it on the bounce and fired home a left-footed blast for his sixth goal of the season. Arriola’s goal was the lone highlight for D.C., as they ended up falling 3-1.

Jesús Ferreira
continued his hot hand for FC Dallas, equalizing in the 38th minute en route to a 2-1 win against Austin FC on Saturday night. Jáder Obrian broke into the box on the right and threaded a ball for Ferreira to tap in at the back post. The 20-year-old has eight goals and eight assists this season, with two goals and two assists in his last four matches.

Jackson Yueill
tallied for the San Jose Earthquakes in their 4-3 triumph at Real Salt Lake on Saturday night. Yueill alertly picked off a pass at the top of the area and powered home an effort to make it 4-1 in the 79th minute. Yueill has recorded third goals this MLS season.

Cameron Carter-Vickers got into the act in Celtic's 3-1 victory against Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday. Carter-Vickers scored his second goal of the season, placing David Turnbull's corner kick past goalkeeper Matt Macey for a 2-0 advantage in the 14th minute.

Only 10 minutes after entering the match, midfielder Christian Cappis struck for the winning goal in the 86th minute in Brøndby's 1-0 victory over Viborg in the Danish Superliga Sunday. Cappis booted home Simon Fredrik Hedlund's left-wing cross from the middle of the box for his third goal of the season.

HELPING OUT

Brenden Aaronson finished with two assists on the week. The 21-year-old helped set up Junior Adamu's 73rd-minute goal in Red Bull Salzburg's 3-0 Austrian Cup win against St. Pölten on Wednesday. The combination worked well again in a 2-2 draw at Ried on Saturday.

The midfielder sent a pin-point pass to Adamu, who scored from 12 yards out in the 83rd minute to knot the score at 1-1.

Eighteen-year-old right back Joe Scally continued his impressive campaign registering his first Bundesliga assist to open the scoring in Borussia Mönchengladbach’s 2-1 win against Bochum on Sunday. Scally received the ball with space on the right and swung in a picture-perfect cross for set up Alassane Pléa's to nod home in the 12th minute.

Luca de la Torre
helped give Heracles some breathing room in its 3-1 triumph at ASWH in the KNVB Beker in the Netherlands on Tuesday, assisting on Rai Vloet's score four minutes into second-half injury time.
