Tyler Adams Diagnosed with Right Hamstring Injury and Chris Richards With Right Ankle Injury; No Replacements to be Added
CHICAGO (Jan. 31, 2022) – U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Tyler Adams has been diagnosed with a right hamstring injury and Chris Richards with a right ankle injury. Both were suffered in the World Cup Qualifier against Canada on Jan. 30 in Hamilton, Ontario.
The players are continuing to be evaluated to establish an expected timeline for their return.
No replacements will be added to the roster for USA-Honduras, presented by Volkswagen, on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at Allianz Field in St. Paul, Minn. (7:30 p.m. ET; FS1, Univision, TUDN). With four matches remaining, the USMNT currently sit in second place in the final round of World Cup Qualifying.
