CHICAGO (July 5, 2023) – Jackson Yueill has been added to the USMNT roster for the knockout stage of the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup. The San Jose Earthquakes midfielder reported to Charlotte last night, replacing the injured Alan Soñora, who was diagnosed with a right hamstring strain.

Yueill, 26, has played 16 times for the United States and was part of the team that captured the 2021 Gold Cup title. Per tournament regulations which does not allow duplicate numbers, he will wear the No. 24 jersey.

Finishing first in Group A after scoring the most goals in Gold Cup group play in team history, the USMNT advanced to the quarterfinals to face Canada on Sunday, July 9, at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET and the match will be broadcast live on FS1, Univision and TUDN. Live Spanish-language audio for the match will be available on Fútbol de Primera radio platforms.
