ROSTER NOTES
Saturday will be Canada’s first match since finishing fourth at this summer’s Copa América tournament.
After qualifying as a Concacaf participant via a 2-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago in March, Canada was drawn into Group A with Argentina, Chile, and Peru. They dropped their opening match to Argentina 2-0, but rebounded with a 1-0 win against Peru before securing a place in the knockout round with a 0-0 draw against Chile.

Their ensuing semifinal meeting with eventual champions Argentina on July 9 saw the Canadians ultimately relegated to the third-place match after La Albiceleste came away 2-0 victors.
In the third-place match, Canada battled Uruguay to a 2-2 finish in Charlotte, N.C., but the South Americans prevailed 4-3 in the penalty shootout that followed.
