CHICAGO (Jan. 15, 2025) – U.S. Soccer has announced that forward Jesús Ferreira and defenders Jalen Neal and John Tolkin have departed U.S. Men’s National Team training camp in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. A decision on whether to bring replacements will be made in the coming days.
With players returning from the winter break, the coaching staff has taken a cautious approach. After an initial medical and physical evaluation, Ferreira was provided an individual training program and will now join Seattle Sounders FC so he can focus on returning to full fitness. Neal is experiencing a minor issue and will travel to meet his new club CF Montréal at their preseason training camp in Tampa, Fla. Tolkin was given permission to depart camp for personal reasons.
