Paul Simpson Names 20-player U.S. Under-16 Boys’ National Team Roster for International Training Camp in Spain

ATLANTA (Oct. 23, 2025) – U.S. Under-16 Boys’ National Team head coach Paul Simpson has named a 20-player roster for the team’s international training camp to be held from Oct. 29-Nov. 8 in L’Albir, Spain.

Continuing the process toward qualification for the 2027 FIFA U-17 World Cup, the U-16 BNT will play three matches during the camp, facing Sweden on Nov. 3, taking on Spain on Nov. 6 and closing out the trip against Qatar on Nov. 8. All three matches will be played at 11 a.m. local time (5 a.m. ET).

The camp is part of the Federation’s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship.

Eighteen of the 20 players come from 12 different Major League Soccer setups. Atlanta United leads the way with four selections, followed by Chicago Fire (three) and Philadelphia Union (two). Charlotte FC, Columbus Crew, FC Dallas, Inter Miami, Sporting Kansas City, LAFC, LA Galaxy, New England Revolution and St. Louis City each have one player on the roster.

The squad is rounded out by one player each from Dutch Eredivisie club Ajax and USL Championship side Sacramento Republic.

All players are born on or after Jan. 1, 2010.
