U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team Will Travel to Spain for Two Matches

ATLANTA (Nov. 21, 2025) – Twenty players have been called up to the U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team for training camp and matches to be held on the coast of southeast Spain that will run from Nov. 24-Dec. 3.

While in Spain, the USA will face the England U-20 WNT on Nov. 29 and finish against the China PR U-20 WNT on Dec. 2. Both matches will be played at Pinatar Arena in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain,

This camp will be the second for new U.S. U-20 WNT head coach Vicky Jepson, but it will mark her first international matches at the helm.

The age cut-off for the 2026 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup is players born on or after Jan. 1, 2006. This roster is made up of eight players born in 2006 and 12 born in 2007. The roster features six NWSL players, one NWSL player out on loan, three players from the USL Super League, seven college players, one player who is currently unattached and two youth club players.

Zoe Matthews of the Houston Dash is currently playing in Spain with Dux Logrones. Forward Sealey Strawn of Dallas Trinity FC is a University of North Carolina commit who was named the 2024/25 USL Super League Young Player of the Year. She has two goals this season for Dallas. Midfielder Ashlyn Puerta has scored a remarkable nine goals in 10 games for Sporting Club Jacksonville so far this season.

Four of the six NWSL players – Katie Scott (Kansas City Current), Mary Long (Kansas City Current), Ainsley McCammon (Seattle Reign) and Kennedy Fuller (Angel City FC) – played in the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, and Current forward Alex Pfeiffer would have if not for a knee injury. Texas forward Amalia Villarreal, who scored eight goals and two assists for the Longhorns this season, played in the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.

The 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup will take place next year in Poland from Sept. 5-27. The USA is one of 12 nations to have already qualified for the tournament, doing so at the 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship last June. The tournament will feature 24 countries.
