U.S. Soccer and Google Partner to Modernize Fan Discovery of the Sport
Google is teaming up with U.S. Soccer as an official partner of both the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams

This summer, the world will pause to take in the magic of the beautiful game. And while soccer is already the most searched sport globally, the energy and passion here in the U.S. are reaching a whole new level.
To celebrate and fuel that growing excitement, Google is teaming up with U.S. Soccer as an official partner of both the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams.
Together, Google and U.S. Soccer will help fans get closer to the teams and players, with Google Search serving as their starting point for exploring every layer of the game. With AI in Search, supporters can simply ask Google anything, whether they need a quick match score, or want to unpack something more complex like the physics behind a bicycle kick. From die-hard supporters to first-time viewers, the partnership with Google will make it easier than ever for fans to follow their curiosity and get closer to the action.
“We’re focused on building fandom and creating deeper connections between our teams and fans, not just around major moments like World Cup’s, but for the long-term future of soccer in this country,” said Dan Gaiman, Senior Vice President of Partnerships and Development Strategy at U.S. Soccer. “Google is a partner that understands how people discover, experience and engage with the sports and passions they care about. Together, we have an opportunity to reach new audiences, strengthen the connection with existing fans, and help grow the game in meaningful ways for years to come.”
“The energy around U.S. Soccer right now is absolutely electric. The more you watch, the more questions you have about the players, the history, and the tactics,” said Kate Johnson, Director of Global Sports & Entertainment Marketing Partnerships, Google. "Through our partnership with U.S. Soccer, we're showing how AI in Google Search makes it easier than ever to follow those questions, dive deeper into the sport, and fuel that love for the game."
The partnership will kick off May 26 with Google serving as the presenting sponsor of U.S. Soccer’s 2026 Men’s National Team Roster Reveal announcement and fan celebration. The event will feature a live, hour-long nationally televised broadcast on FOX from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET alongside a free public fan celebration in New York City, bringing supporters together for one of the biggest moments ahead of this summer’s tournament.
To help bring the energy to life throughout the summer, Google is partnering with an incredible lineup of U.S. Soccer stars, including current players and legends like Weston McKennie, Tyler Adams, Landon Donovan and Tim Howard. Fans will see these players appear in a new Google Search campaign launching in June across broadcast, digital, and social channels. Off the pitch, the athletes will star in a new U.S. Soccer social series presented by Google.
During the FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026™, fans can insert themselves into the action and easily share the energy with a Gemini-powered photo booth at the U.S. Soccer House, presented by Bank of America, in Venice, CA. Using Nano Banana, Google's most advanced image generation technology, the soccer-themed experience puts fans right in the center of the action.
Google’s partnership with U.S. Soccer is the latest in its support of iconic national teams—including Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Iraq and Morocco—to celebrate global soccer fandom and connect people everywhere to the game they love.
With the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup, the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics on the horizon, U.S. Soccer is entering a historic stretch of competition, creating an unprecedented moment of global spotlight and a transformative opportunity to grow the game at all levels. Together, Google and U.S. Soccer will make it easier than ever to connect with the game and learn about the traditions, history, culture, and personalities that make the sport a beloved pastime across the globe.
