ATLANTA (Aug.25, 2025) -- The U.S. Men’s Deaf National Team head coach Everett Palache has called a 23-player squad to the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center from Aug. 25-30 for the second training camp of the year. The team is coming off a program-best fourth place at the 2025 Deaflympics in Tokyo.
“Camps like this are where the program gets built,” Palache said. “We’re not just evaluating individual players, we’re establishing how this group thinks and plays together in critical moments, especially in transition. For a lot of these guys, this is a rare chance to train and compete at this level with teammates who understand exactly what they’ve been through to get here. That shared understanding is the foundation everything else gets built on.”
This roster is led by 2025 Male Deaf Player of the Year Christopher Bourdon and other several veterans, including 11 players from the 2025 Deaflympics squad and seven players from the 2024 Deaf Pan American Games team.
Part of Palache’s roster selection features more young players being called up than in previous camps. Three 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old player received the nod as Palache continues to find and develop new talent to deepen the selection pool.
The mix of veteran players sharing the field with younger athletes will benefit the development and elevate the talent pool for this upcoming camp and future competitions.
