The Impact Match, presented by New York Life, kicks off at 7 p.m. CT (8 p.m. ET) from Energizer Park in St. Louis, with the match against La Roja to be shown live on TNT, truTV, HBO Max, Universo, and Peacock. [TICKETS]
The match will be carried live on radio as Westwood One Sports delivers English language commentary while longtime partner Fútbol de Primera has the Spanish language call.

The USMNT’s 4-1 victory over Peru marks its largest margin of victory to begin a new World Cup cycle. The match included four different goal scorers: Sebastian Berhalter, Justin Ellis, Julian Hall and Malik Tillman. The last time the USMNT had a game with at least four different goalscorers was the 5-1 victory over Uruguay on Nov. 18, 2025, which also included a Sebastian Berhalter goal. Three of the goals were scored in open play with Malik Tillman also netting a penalty. The U.S. most recently scored four goals in its opening game of FIFA World Cup 2026 against Paraguay on June 12, 2026.
DEBUTS FOR DAYS
Eleven USMNT players made their debuts in the match against Peru: Mathis Albert, Justin Ellis, Zavier Gozo, Julian Hall, Diego Kochen, Adri Mehmeti, Peyton Miller, Neil Pierre, Brooklyn Raines, Cavan Sullivan and Frankie Westfield—the most ever for the USMNT during a FIFA international window. The win against Peru marked the second time there have been 11 debutants in the same game during the modern era, matching the total during the 1-0 loss to Slovenia on Jan. 20, 2024, in San Antonio. Following the introduction of 11 new players to the USMNT, head coach Mauricio Pochettino has now given at least one cap to 73 players.
SUPER SENIOR LEADERS
Featuring a mix of experienced players and new faces, this USMNT roster is being guided by its 13 World Cup returners. Midfielder Tyler Adams captained the USMNT against Peru for the 14th time in his international career in 59 total caps. The roster also features Antonee Robinson (59), Sergiño Dest (44), Gio Reyna (44), Miles Robinson (41), Chris Richards (40) and Malik Tillman (36) as cap leaders who also featured at FIFA World Cup 2026.
A World Cup-capped player scored or assisted on all four goals scored against Peru. Midfielder Gio Reyna registered an assist, and midfielder Malik Tillman netted a goal, while midfielder Sebastian Berhalter produced a goal and assist.
USMNT vs. CHILE
The last meeting between the USMNT and Chile resulted in a 1-1 draw on Mar. 26, 2019, with a goal coming from Christian Pulisic in the fourth minute. No player on the 28-man squad has faced Chile. The all-time series dates back to July 2, 1950 when the sides met in the FIFA World Cup, a 5-2 defeat for the U.S. in Brazil. The U.S. met Chile once in a Copa América tournament on July 8, 1995, opening the competition with a 2-1 victory featuring two goals from Eric Wynalda. The USMNT went on to finish that tournament in fourth place, a joint-best finish with 2016.

Through 14 matches, the USMNT holds a 10W-1L-3D record in St. Louis and a 4W-0L-0D record at Energizer Park. The USA’s history in St. Louis dates back to 1957, in its only loss, coming against Canada. ST. LOUIS ROYALTY
A St. Louis, Mo. native and St. Louis University alum, Tim Ream will be recognized ahead of the match to celebrate his remarkable contributions to the program. Ream spent over 14 years with the USMNT, earning 86 caps and wearing the captain’s armband 32 times—sixth most in program history. The former USMNT captain also helped the U.S. claim two Concacaf Nations League titles. Ream started and played every minute of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, then returned four years later to captain the side at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, becoming the oldest field player in USMNT World Cup history.

KEEPING IT CLOSE
Despite missing out on FIFA World Cup 2026, Chile has put together a commendable run of form in 2026, defeating two World Cup knockout stage teams in Cape Verde and Democratic Republic of Congo. La Roja defeated Cape Verde 4-2 in March, before defeating the Congo 2-1 in June, prior to the beginning of the World Cup. In its most recent match, Chile was defeated 1-0 by Canada, a Round of 16 participant at the World Cup.
CORDOVA IN CHARGE
Chilean-born manager Nicolas Cordova leads the Chilean National Team after rising through the ranks as a youth national team manager for the U15, U20 and U23 age groups. In March 2025, Cordova was appointed as caretaker manager after most recently managing the Chilean Under-23 squad. The former Chilean international has also managed domestically, most notably at Al-Rayyan in Qatar and Universitario in Peru.
Cordova’s history with the national team spans two decades, as he appeared for Chile for the first time as a player in 2003. Following his appointment, Cordova has managed Chile for nine matches, compiling a 4W-4L-1D record.
