Futsal MNT Reconvenes for First Time at the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center

ATLANTA (June 23, 2026) – Newly named U.S. Men’s Futsal National Team head coach Hernán Garcias has called up 16 players for the team’s first training camp of 2026, to be held from June 23-28 at the Georgia Power Court at the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Fayetteville, Ga.
Four veterans of the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup lead the list of experienced selections, with Raphael Araujo (Bound Brook, N.J.), Robert Franzese-Damron (Ann Arbor, Mich.), Luciano Gonzalez (Mendoza, Argentina) and David Ortíz (McKinney, Texas) being joined by Nilton de Andrade (Boston, Mass.) and Nicholas Lopez (Miami, Fla.), who were standout U.S. players at the 2024 Concacaf Futsal Championship.
Garcias will also use his initial camp to get a look at six first-time call ups in Jacob Chakroun (Chicago, Ill.), Daniel Fadiga (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Vasil Maruashvili (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Brian Orozco (Ontario, Calif.), Jerry Perez (Round Lake, Ill.) and Bruno Ximenes (Hillside, N.J.).
Former Futsal MNT players Diego Burato and Diego Moretti will serve as assistant coaches for the camp. Burato is also the head coach of the U.S. Women’s Futsal National Team.
The upcoming camp is part of the Federation’s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for the Extended National Teams – including the Futsal Nationals – to ensure they are fully prepared to compete and succeed on the world stage.
