Bio
Tim Vernon is the Head of Strategy at U.S. Soccer. The Strategy team acts in service to U.S. Soccer’s overall vision and goals, primarily through driving forward major cross-functional strategic initiatives and corporate development work, supporting ongoing business planning efforts, and working with executives and department leadership in program management capacities.
Prior to U.S. Soccer, Tim was a member of the National Basketball Association’s Global Strategy Group, where he primarily worked across the international, media, and events aspects of the NBA’s business. He started his career as a management consultant within Bain & Company’s New York office.
Tim played (American) football at Northwestern University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in history and master's degree in liberal studies. Tim points to his five summers bussing tables at the Candlelite Chicago restaurant as foundational to his career in the business world.
A proud Philadelphian, Tim stays close to his roots as a board member of the Anderson Monarchs, based out of the Marian Anderson Rec Center in South Philly. Tim is based in the Atlanta office with his wife Ashley, and their daughter Hallie.
